Building and Protecting your Reputation as an Online Writer
If you are serious about pursuing a home based work opportunity that enables you to make money online from the comfort of home, I hope you will consider writing online articles and writing your own monetized blogs. If you do, what are some effective ways to organize your writing time?
Well, if you are a freelance writer who has clients for whom you write articles (and most importantly, who pay you to write for them), then you always want to make sure you complete the assignments that they have given you before tackling any other writing tasks. In other words, there are certain things you can procrastinate about, but writing for clients is simply not one of them. If you want to make a good name for yourself as an online writer, you must do everything within your power to build up and then hang on to a stellar reputation. What exactly do you want your reputation to be?
You want to have a reputation as a reliable, skilled writer of online articles and other types of web content. You’ll note that I chose to place the word reliable before the word skilled in that last sentence, and that was intentional. For it does not matter how talented you are as a write of web content. If you do not keep your word and follow through on assigned tasks, word will quickly get around the Internet, and you run the risk of losing clients. On the flip side, if you create a great reputation for yourself by taking on writing tasks that you can handle and that you complete in a timely manner (that is, by deadline), then you will not only cement your reputation with the clients you are currently working with, but you can also expand your client base if you so desire.
