If one home based work opportunity that you decide to pursue becoming a blogger (or a niche blogger, that is, a person who blogs about specific topics), one of the best things you can do for yourself and to grow your business as a blogger is to keep writing, or keep generating content, whatever else you do.

The heart of your business, after all, if you become a blogger is your content. (As they say, “content is king.” This also holds true for other online writing gigs in addition to niche blogging. Namely, if (in addition to writing for your own blogs), you also create Hubs for HubPages or how to articles for eHow or any type of articles for InfoBarrel (or any other online writing sites), you have to keep the good old “numbers game” in mind, meaning that you have to generate a lot of content (articles, blog posts, etc.) in order to increase your earnings.

There is more to it than just the fact that you need to keep writing new articles. You also need to work on getting (or creating) valuable, meaningful backlinks to the articles and blog posts that you write. But the first step, and arguably the most important step, is to create the content in the first place. Of course you also need to be sure that the content is both original and of high quality.

When pursuing the home based work opportunity of blogging and/or writing online, know that there will be some days when you just don’t feel like blogging or writing new articles, and that’s okay. Take a break and come back later when you feel like writing. There will be dry spells and moments when you feel burnt out from all the writing you are doing. At those times, the best thing you can do for yourself is to turn off your computer and do something completely different for a while.
