Personalizando WordPress 1.5

There is a lot of freedom to be found in blogging on your own blogs. For one thing, you set all the rules with this particular home based work opportunity. If you blog for Blogger (or any other blogging platform that is owned by someone else), you have to adhere to their rules and regulations and your blog can also be deleted on a whim. However, if you make the decision to own your own blog and domain name and to subscribe to a hosting service like Hostgator,  you are the one in control.

You are, quite literally, your own boss. And if you are like a lot of other people who enjoy being their own bosses (or who aspire to be their own bosses one day), then this idea of owning your own blogs is probably very appealing to you on a lot of different levels. You get to determine your own subjects, your tone, the overall “voice” of your blog. You get to express your own opinions. And if you choose to invite readers to comment on your work, you can engage in discussions with them. In fact, this interactive component of blogging is what so many people love about the world of blogging.

I enjoy writing for websites like eHow, HubPages and Xomba. But each of these sites has its own set of rules and regulations that all writers must adhere to if they want their work to get published and not get deleted. When it comes to your own blogs, the only person who will edit or delete the posts you write is YOU. That’s a lot of freedom, and freedom is an incredibly precious commodity… especially freedom of speech. If you are on the fence about investing in your own domain name and hosting service and taking the plunge into the wonderful world of blogging on Wordpress, just remember how great it feels to have total freedom of self expression.
